Hey guys! Here’s a good, FREE art program with some amazing fluid features! Go to 7:00 to see some examples of how the program works.
If Photoshop is too expensive for you, this program—Verve—might be just the ticket! And I swear, people are getting texture effects I’ve never seen come out of Photoshop proper.
Even if you don’t feel like you need it, recommend it to your friends who might! It does require a fairly recently graphics card, but the size of the program itself is very small, so if you have a laptop for example it might be just the thing.
mother of god O_O
This looks utterly mindblowing.
saying this is a good alternative to Photoshop is misleading since this program is very experimental. Personally i think Krita is a better choice for a more standard digital painting experience. However this is a cool program and seems like it would be a good fit for someone who wants their work to look unique.
sketchbook page I’ve been working on in my toned gray sketchbook on and off with a slowly fading Sharpie and white gel pen. if only i had more slowly dying Sharpies to do more work like this.
as promised, progress shots of the comic! i need to revise the panel layouts in places but my professor was pleased with my work overall.
long time no sketch! work has been extremely busy so personal work was put aside. but here’s a creative use of a dying sharpie.
i’m taking a ten week long illustration class and my professor assigned a 2-4 page comic. expect the character designs for that to be posted later!
it’s that time, aka time to brainstorm ideas for my thesis film. this time i’m choosing a concept that’s a little closer to my heart than the one i tried (and failed to complete) last year. that concept? long distance relationships. so here’s an idea for how it would look.
some tiling backgrounds I made. feel free to use as long as you put credit somewhere.
notebook pages! some cute girls including my parter’s character Zandra Fox on the left.
blobfish mermaid (blobmaid?)
i think shes rather cute
